At Sendcoach, we get asked a lot: Why are you giving this away for free? How can that be a good business model?
Right now, what matters most is that families use Sendcoach because it works for them, not because of what it costs. We believe the platform has real value. Helping student-athletes and their families get into college is incredibly important, and we’re confident that over time the business model will take care of itself. But today, our priority is feedback and improvement.
A quick example. On August 15th, a user asked for a simple feature: the ability to sort our schools database by state, division, and conference. It’s an obvious feature, one we had thought of but hadn’t yet built. Within three days, we launched it. That kind of speed—listening to users and turning their feedback into features—is exactly how we want Sendcoach to grow.
